Unlock Your Email Deliverability With This Simple Trick

Hey there! Let’s talk about email deliverability. Specifically, the one simple, game-changing tip that can help skyrocket your inbox placement overnight. Yes, you heard me right—this tip could have a noticeable impact on your email strategy the very next time you hit send.

I was just wrapping up a training session for our 7-Figure Influencer students over at Beach Boss Influencers, diving deep into the art of email deliverability. And let me tell you, this one tip I’m about to share could make a world of difference, especially if you’re seeing your emails get lost in the spam folder.

The Problem: Emails Going to Spam?

Whether you're sending promotional emails, value-packed newsletters, or any kind of communication to your audience, the ultimate goal is for those emails to land right in the inbox. Because, let’s face it: if your emails end up in spam, or worse, just sit unopened, all that hard work you put into crafting the perfect subject line, the most amazing content, or a killer call to action... doesn’t mean much.

Simply put, if no one sees your email, your efforts are wasted.

But don't worry! There's a fix. It’s not as complex as you might think. And I’m about to share a strategy with you that’s going to have a massive impact, instantly. Here it is: ask your recipients to reply to your emails.

Sounds simple, right? Too simple, maybe. But trust me, this one small action can have a major effect on your deliverability. Let me explain why.

Why Does Asking for a Reply Matter?

Here’s the deal: one of the biggest trust signals you can send to email service providers (ESP) like Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail is getting a reply. Not just an open or a click on a link (although those help, too!). But a reply.

Why? Because when someone replies to your email, they’re showing that they’ve read and engaged with your content. And here's the kicker: email providers recognize this as a huge trust indicator. It tells them that you’re sending content that people actually care about. If you’re constantly getting replies, ESPs will start to trust you, meaning they’re more likely to send your emails to the inbox, rather than flagging them as spam.

Think about it: ESPs have no idea how much of your email a person has actually read. They don’t know if someone opened it and then hit the delete button. They don’t know if a click on your link resulted in a sale or just an accidental tap. But a reply—that’s a clear action. It’s a big deal to an email provider.

The more replies you get, the more they’ll see you as a trusted sender. And that trust? It leads to better deliverability, meaning your emails actually make it into the inbox instead of the dreaded spam folder.

How to Get Replies?

Now, you might be thinking, “Okay, this sounds great, but how do I get people to actually reply?” Here's the best part: It doesn’t have to be hard. You don’t need to come up with a long, complicated call to action. It’s really as simple as adding a sentence or two to your emails, like:

  • "Quick question—what’s your biggest challenge with [topic] right now?"

  • "Reply 'yes' if you're still interested in [benefit you're offering]."

These are low-effort asks that won’t take much time for your readers to respond to. A simple one-word response can work wonders. All you need to do is make it easy for them to reply.

In fact, you could even add a line like this in your PS section to make sure it’s noticed: "PS: I'd love to hear from you! Just reply to this email and let me know your thoughts!"

That’s it. No heavy lifting for your reader, no major effort on your part. You just need to ask for that reply, and it’ll help send a signal to the ESPs that you’re a trusted, engaging sender.

The Snowball Effect: Build Trust Over Time

Here’s something cool about asking for replies—it builds on itself. You get a few replies here and there, and over time, you’ll start to see that snowball effect. The more replies you get, the more your emails will land in inboxes, leading to even more replies, more trust, and—yep, you guessed it—more inbox placements.

And the best part? This strategy works for both value-based emails and sales emails. Whether you're delivering a freebie, sharing helpful content, or pitching a product, asking for a reply will boost engagement and improve your deliverability. So why not give it a shot?

A Quick Recap:

  1. Ask for replies—It’s that simple.

  2. Keep your ask low-effort—one-word responses work perfectly.

  3. Add it in your PS line—Make it visible without being intrusive.

  4. It works over time—More replies = more trust = more inboxes.
